Family Workshop: Pattern Play
Learning a little something about art is always important. On November 13th, the Dallas Museum of Art is hosting their Family Workshop: Pattern Play. During this event, guests will explore the galleries, talk about what they are seeing, and then create a work of art in the museum’s studio. Family Fun At Painting With A Twist
While Painting With A Twist is mostly known for its adult art classes, they also offer family fun. This weekend, you can bring your kids to its McKinney location to create your own paintings of Frosty The Snow Man that you can then take home with you. Holiday At The Arboretum
If you would prefer to take things outside, then we suggest visiting the Arboretum for their latest holiday installments. Between now and the end of December, Holiday at the Arboretum features 25-foot-tall decorated Victorian-style that represent the 12 Days of Christmas. At night, the garden brightens up with a beautiful nighttime experience that has over a million lights. There is also a Christmas Village, Santa Claus, and a NEW 50-foot tall musical tree with 42,000 lights and plenty of holiday songs. Learn more here.
Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live
If you are looking for a louder, more in-your-face experience this weekend, look no further than Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. In addition to massive monster trucks, there are car-crushing, fire-breathing metal dinosaurs that are sure to enthrall kids and adults alike. You can visit on either November 13th or 14th, and we highly suggest going to one of them because it is going to be an experience you are not likely to forget.
